What a day!!

Last Wednesday Zoey went to the doctor and had a double ear infection. She started antibiotic and on Sunday she started running a fever. By the night it was about 103-104. So I called and made her another doctor appointment. They said it was more than likely a "fever virus" and that it would just have to run its course. Her ears looked great. Her doctor also told me not to be surprised if she started to get a pink rash once her fever broke.
Yesterday she still had a fever all day and as the day got on she starting getting a rash. I called the doctor and they said it was more than likely due to the virus and to give her Benadryl. Last night I woke her up to give her more medicine and it looked AWFUL! I even cried because I was so worried.

I was hoping that by this morning it would look at little better, but it was even worse than last night. I had to get ready and head out the door to run several errands before Rilan had his Pre-Registration for kindergarten. One stop was by the pedi office to get his shot record. I asked to talk to the nurse so I could show her the photo I tweeted of Zoey's rash. When they saw what it looked like they wanted to see her and told me to call D and have him bring her in right away.

I got to the car called D to tell him to get Zoey dressed that they wanted to see her. I came back home and got Rilan so I could go and finish getting my errands done and take him to registration and D took Zo to the doctor.

Her pedi has no clue what it is. They ended up giving her a shot and a prescription for a steroid. They have no clue if it will help or not but its a start to getting this yucky rash off of her. I pray it works. I hate seeing my baby girl like this.

Her face is pretty bad still, but its gotten to where they are so many bumps they have clustered together to pretty much cover her entire face. He tummy and back and legs have also gotten worse since I took these photos this morning right after she woke up.

Please say a prayer that we can figure out what this is and get it cleared up. I am so ready for my girl to start feeling better.

A few recent projects...

So I've had my cricut for a few weeks now and I am LOVING it! Just wish I had a little more time to use it! It still needs a permanent home too, my dining room table is tired of being its temporary home.

The first thing I made was Easter buckets for the kids. I still have to add polka dots to Zoey's and I might change her name to match her outfit she is going to wear on Easter. Rilan just wanted his name and a dinosaur on his so that was easy!

I did a few things for my mom while she was here with it. I put her name on her iPhone cover, and I also put Rilan's name on a sports bottle for his soccer games and practice.

We have a problem with toys in our house. It drive me nuts to see them scattered everywhere so I went to Wal-Mart and got this tub, whatever can fit into it and the lid go on can stay down stairs, everything else has to stay upstairs. Its been working so far. Now if I can just help Rilan learn how to keep his room clean!

And last, ever since I saw the mirror Kelly made for Hollis I knew I wanted to do something similar.  I already had this mirror in Zoey's room so it was nice that I didn't have to buy anything for the project! Well except the vinyl, which I had but even then it only cost about a dollar!
Uhmm looks like I forgot to clean the mirror good before I hung it!

I have a few more projects planned to do in the next few weeks, I can't wait to share when they are done!

Chicken Spaghetti

There has been lots of twitter talk here lately about chicken spaghetti so I have been craving it, so much I've made it twice in the last few weeks! I decided to blog the recipe I use. Its a combination of a few I've seen with my own additions. I am a super picky eater but love chicken spaghetti so I just took away what I didn't like and added things I do like.

Chicken Spaghetti
1 Rotisserie Chicken
1/2 to 1 onion, chopped
2 small zucchini
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
4-5 cups of grated cheese
spaghetti noodles
Chicken stock/broth

*I used to cook a whole chicken myself, but with kids I have found its easier to get a rotisserie chicken.*

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Take skin off chicken and then tear the meat into small pieces. I use as much meat from the chicken as I can.
In a pan, saute' the onion and zucchini. I like to get them pretty soft.
Boil spaghetti noodles in half water and half chicken stock/broth.
Put the cream of mushroom soup and 3 cups of grated cheese in a large sauce pan. Put over medium heat until cheese is melted. Add chicken stock to thin as needed.
Once the cheese is melted add chicken and veggies to the mixture.
Once noodled are cooked put some of the noodles in a 9x13 pan and then pour cheese mixture over and use a pasta spoon to try and mix well. Add more noodles if needed.
You can also add more chicken stock if the mixture is too thick.
Add 1 to 2 cups of cheese over the top.
Place in oven and remove one bubbly throughout.

Hope I didn't forget anything. Please e-mail me or leave a comment if you have any questions.

Enjoy!

I usually serve with garlic bread and a salad.

Misc.

I am so excited. I have been wanting a new little toy for a LONG time and today I finally am the proud owner of this.

I am going to purchase the Sure Cuts A Lot program to use with it. I can't wait to start making fun projects. First on the list is Easter buckets for the kids.

After naps and errands we went outside to play before it got too cool. Rilan had fun playing on his scooter and Zoey played in the jeep.

Not much going on other than that. I stay so busy with the kids and chasing my super busy TODDLER around. Whew, I never knew how much one child could wear you out! Rilan started soccer this weekend. He had his first practice on Saturday. I stayed home with Zoey and Dax said he did really well. He has another practice tomorrow and games starting on Saturday. I have also been pretty down in the dumps lately. I miss home so much. I wish I had my family and friends here with me. You would think after living in DFW for almost 9 years it would be old new, but I still miss home as much if not more than I did the first year.

Hope everyone has a good rest of the week.
