Bow Frame

Yesterday I took the kids to go have lunch with Daddy. Rilan loves going to see his Daddy during the work day. We went to what he calls the "Cheesy Noodle Store" aka Picasso's. If you have never been there you should try it sometime. They have the best calzones ever! :) There is a little consignment store right beside it I had been wanting to go in just never had the time after we ate so yesterday we went in to look for a frame I could make into a bow hanger. They had lots of awesome stuff. I can't wait to go back. I hope they still have a the mirror I want for Zoey's room next time we go in.....or maybe our room! Anyway this is what I came home with.

Cute huh?! When we got home I couldn't wait to get started on it. I took the glass and photo out of it first.

Then I spray painted the lovely thing with flat black spray paint. I was about 3/4 of the way done and ran out of paint. So I had to make a quick run to Hobby Lobby once Dax got home. After I was all done with the black and it had dried I added some hot pink and lime green to the detailing.

A few close ups of the detailing.

After the paint was all dry I added 5 rows of ribbon for the bows to clip onto. I used hot glue but you could also use a staple gun if you wanted to.

Each row of ribbon I did a double layer to give it a little more color and since Zoey has some smaller little clips for her hair I though that would be easy to clip them onto.

Here is what it looked like finished before I hung it up.

Close up of the ribbon.

The finished product in her room before bows. (It is hanging straight in her room I just took the photo a little crooked!) oops!

Now with a few bows and clips on it. Still have a lot more that need to go on it. I just wanted some of the ribbon to still show for the photo.

I am already itching to go and get another fame to make more! Maybe because I saw at Hobby Lobby yesterday photo frames are 50% off right now!

And just because grandparents will want to see photos of the kids, this is from this morning. Rilan came down stairs when he woke up with his fire jacket and hat (halloween costume he decided not to wear.)

He also brought one of his chairs down to put on the couch so he could be like his "Zo Zo." He is always making me laugh, he had started calling Zoey Zo and now its Zo Zo.

They were watching some cartoon on Sprout.

Doesn't she look big here?!

SO STINKING CUTE!!!! Love it! I just bought Ava her 4th bow holder for her room off Etsy and I wish I would have seen this beforehand. You are so crafty! Wish you lived a tad closer;)
