Valentine's Day

We had a pretty low key Valentine's Day, just how I like it! :) I am not a huge fan because I feel like love should be celebrated everyday.

Rilan requested red heart shaped waffles for breakfast, so that is what we had for breakfast.

That afternoon Rilan had his Valentine's party at school so I was able to go and help with that while Zoey went to work with Daddy.

I got to the school a little early and was able to watch the kids write and learn about the Statue of Liberty. Rilan had to show me his work!

I have never seen such a wild group of kids! :) There are 22 kids in Rilan's class and I feel like there was about that much sugar in pounds there for the party! They played a quick game of bingo, then decorated sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles, and lastly they broke into 3 groups, one played pin the lips on the heart face, one played bowling, and the other looked at their Valentine sacks. I think Rilan had a blast!

Rilan and his friend Kate, and Ori jumped in! Rilan and Kate are always exchanging letters to one another. Its SO cute! She draws him hearts all the time. She is such a sweet sweet girl!

For dinner we just stayed at home and had a meal as a family. I picked up steaks, baked potatoes, and salad. I started the salad and baked potatoes, and when Dax got home he threw the steaks on the grill. They were probably the best steaks I've ever had at home! It was probably one of the best Valentine's ever! I love my sweet family so so much!
