Summer Vacation Part 2

After 2 fun filled days at Sea World I would have been just as happy to spend the next day relaxing but Rilan was SO excited to go and see the Alamo and River Walk. 

We did take our time getting there and went to see the Alamo first. It was actually way cooler than I remember it being as a kid. Maybe it was just neat seeing it through Rilan's eyes.  He loved all the models and could have stayed there for hours.

After the Alamo we walked down to the River Walk and had a quick bite to eat and then decided to take a river boat tour. BAD IDEA!! It was awful! Right as we were pulling away I got stung by a bee. I had never been stung before and its was terrible! It actually is still hurting today!

For once I was happy my Dad dipped. He put some snuff on my finger to help take out the sting.

It was hot and miserable and I'm pretty sure that we all wished we were sleeping like Zo! 

Once we got done with our River Boat Tour we headed back to the hotel for some relaxing and swimming. It was a great vacation and one that I don't think any of us will forget! 

Summer Vacation 2012 Part 1

Summer vacation, oh how I loved you! 

We had so much fun on vacation this year, but I will have to say I sure did miss the wonderful and cool Colorado mountains! 

We had planned on going back to Colorado this summer, but it just didn't work out so we headed to San Antonio instead!

My parents were able to go with us and the kids LOVED having their Granda and Pops come along on all our adventures.

We left early last Friday and Mom and I stopped in San Marcos at the outlet malls to do a little shopping while the guys and kids headed to the hotel for some swimming.

We got a ton of clothes for the kids at a great price!! I am already planning my next shopping trip, who is in?! 

On Saturday and Sunday we spent ALL day at Sea World. They have a new water park that just opened in May and the kids loved it.

One of my favorite shows is Azul.

This guy cracked me up!!

Zoey spend most of her time with her hands over her ears during shows or when she didn't want to do something. It's become her new "thing."

I was SO annoyed the whole time during One Ocean. The chick in front of me had hear dad gum camera up in my face from the row in front the entire time! I have not one single photo without her camera showing! Not to mention it made it even more difficult to watch the show. :: End Rant:: :)

That ended the photos from day 1. I thought my camera battery was charged, it wasn't! BOO!

On day 2 Dax and I rode Journey to Atlantis with my Mom and then again with my Dad to get a quick cool down before starting the day and then we headed to watch the ski show, Cool Vibrations. 

It was such a cute show, I think it was Rilan and Pops' favorite!

After the ski show we fed the dolphins and sea lions and then cooled off with a sweet treat.

Next we were off to the water park from some relaxing and cooling off. And naps! 

After a long day it was time for the last showing of Shamu Rocks of the summer. Rilan LOVED it!

I didn't get many great photos but I have memories that will last a lifetime. Seeing the joy on Rilan and Zoey's faces will never be forgotten. 

We had such a blast and Rilan is already planning our next trip! 

1st Grade

Rilan started 1st grade today!

Wow how time does fly! I am so proud of him and honored to be this wonderful boys momma! 

Rilan, I hope you had the best first day of school! We love you so much!

Chronic Pink Eye?

Oh my gosh, is there such a thing as Chronic Pink Eye?! Rilan has pink eye AGAIN!! This is the 4th time he has had it since school started! I know that 7 months is a long time but before this he had it maybe twice!

It started out in the right eye, the same eye we had trouble with a few weeks ago, but this afternoon it is in his left eye too. We started drops as soon as I noticed it in the other eye. I am just praying that it doesn't get as bad as it did last time. That was A-W-F-U-L! 

I was actually able to get some stuff done around the house though, since Rilan was able to play with Zoey. I cleaned my entire kitchen and steam moped. It feels so good to have a sparking kitchen. I am going to try and finish up the living room tonight, because it's a hopeless cause to try and clean it while these kids are awake! 

Easter {2012}

This weekend we had our annual family reunion. We always have so much fun getting to hang out with our family that we don't often get to see. We gather each year at the lake in Brownwood, TX over Easter weekend.

This year we had to change where we stayed due to the building we had stayed at for over 40 years is in the process of being torn down. :( I think most of us were a little hesitant about having to change but I think it ended up being a wonderful change!

Rilan and Zoey had so much fun playing with their cousins. They woke early and played until they crashed at night.

 Zoey has started saying "cheese" when you take a photo of her and it might be the cutest thing ever. I love that she is starting that stage of loving to have her photo taken!

A post full of bullets!

• We have had a lazy week here. Well sorta!
• Saturday I woke up with tons of pressure in my ear. I went to the doctor that afternoon and its only gotten worse. I have been on antibiotics for 6 days and steroids for 2 and feel like I am about to loose my mind.
• I mowed our entire lawn on Saturday night so that the Hubby could watch the Supercross live on Speed. It was a good workout! ha!
• Sunday the pressure in my ear had let up but was throbbing really bad on and off, we ended up spending most of the day at the motocross track and we all had a blast! I even got a nice tan on my arms! Woo Hoo! :)
• The pressure was back in my ear when I woke up on Monday!
• I went back to the doctor on Tuesday after trying to call a nurse for 2 days and no one would call me back.
• Rilan's eye is doing much better. He still has a knot of some sort right in the center of his lash line but it doesn't hurt him. He has a few more days of antibiotics and if it doesn't go away soon I am going to take him back to the doctor. 
• Zoey is talking so much these days!! I am so impressed on how quickly she is picking up new things. Rilan talked really early and she has taken her time in that department, but she is making up for lost time now!
• She has even learned all of her colors and can say most of them!
• Her favorite colors are geen and ink! :) 

Well I think that is about it.

Pink Eye

Rilan woke up on Thursay with a swollen and red eye. After a visit to the doctor we were told it was pink eye due to a allergies. Basically the congestion was coming out in his eye.

On Friday it looked even worse. I called back but was told her probably just rubbed it in his sleep and that we just needed to continue the drops.

It continued to look awful all through the weekend draining tons of puss. Yesterday I called back to see his pediatrician and after a few doses of oral antibiotic and it being drained (quiet possibly the grossest thing ever) at the doctors office his eye is MUCH better today!!
